Oh god, it’s still a blog!

It’s a common story on the internet, you know, someone with delusions of grandeur decides to write a blog. A first it starts off great and the creator is full of self-indulgent confidence: “Wow, It’s going to be amazingly awesome! Everyone will love me!” But then after a couple of weeks the author runs out of things to say and no-one is interested anyway. In fact the blog’s only remarkable achievement is being a few bytes of data in Google’s index. Well my dear readers (yes, all three of you) I can assure that is not the case here.

Firstly I’m nowhere near done with my wanton ranting, mostly about Actionscript. No my problem is not lack of material, but rather that other perennial enemy of awesomeness, time. I recently started as Hello Computer’s newest flash developer. So far it’s been a good start to a grand new adventure, with lots of great projects to work on. Part of that adventure though involved moving to a new city (namely Cape Town, South Africa). And in between that I’ve also been getting involved with Actionscript training, so as you can image the state of my free time lately has been rather tragic.

My other problem is that I’ve also never quite managed to get this blog out of that boisterous puppy state many projects go through. It’s the one where it still looks cute and loveable, but then wets the carpets and chews the furniture when you’re not looking. So once I’ve finally house-trained some naughty code, get ready for a lot more to come…

There will be rants…
There will be code…
It shall be awesome!
